FitSnap AI is a fitness, food tracking, and AI coaching mobile app for iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have.
FitSnap AI does not require you to create an account. The app signs you in anonymously and assigns a random identifier that is not linked to your name, email address, or phone number.
Your profile details (such as goals, body measurements, workout preferences, and food logs) are stored on your device. When you use an AI feature, only the details needed for that request are sent to our servers.
When you scan a meal, the photo you take or choose is sent securely to our servers and to our AI provider, OpenAI, so that it can estimate the food and its nutrition. The photo is used only to produce your result. It is not used to identify you, and it is not stored after the analysis is complete. Messages you send to the AI coach are processed in the same way.
The app asks for your consent before your first food scan. AI responses are for general wellness and informational purposes only. FitSnap AI does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or professional healthcare advice, and you should consult a qualified professional before changing your diet or exercise routine.
The app asks for camera and photo library access only so you can scan food. It asks for Motion & Fitness access only to count your steps. Step data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
The free version of FitSnap AI shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising identifier, approximate location, and ad interaction data to show and measure ads, including personalised ads where permitted. On iOS, the app asks for your permission before tracking you across other companies' apps and websites. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, you can manage ad personalisation in your Google settings. Premium subscribers do not see ads.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and to find and fix problems. This may include app interactions, device and diagnostic information, and your anonymous identifier.
FitSnap AI offers an optional Premium subscription. On iOS, purchases are made and managed through your Apple ID. On Android, they are made through Google Play Billing. Payment is processed by Apple or Google, and we never see or store your payment card details.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time. On iOS, go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. On Android, use the subscriptions section of your Google Play account.
FitSnap AI uses Google Firebase, Google AdMob, OpenAI, and Apple and Google billing services. These services may collect information according to their own privacy policies.
Data stored on your device is removed when you delete the app. To request deletion of any data we hold that is linked to your anonymous identifier, email us at the address below and we will delete it.
We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
FitSnap AI is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
